Thank you for downloading SNMPView.

This free software frequently queries network devices and shows values that are
readable over SNMP in a table. Thresholds can be watched and colorized at violation.
You can transform cryptic numbers in human readable text by using a translation table. 
The software can write a logfile with all values. All parameters are free configurable.

Since version 2.4 SNMPView does support MessPC/PCmeasure software.

Changes and new features in Version 2.5
- name of html-files index.html and snmpview.html can configure now
- SNMPView generates additional a grafik view in web browser
  use http://your.ip.add.ress:8888/index.html for text view and
  http://your.ip.add.ress:8888/snmpview.html for grafik view
- any internal changes for work with negative values, switched back to my self written SNMP-library
  use now section [Range] in configuration file to work with negative values
- you must not make a column entry now in configuration file

New Features in Version 1.60
- you can now write OIDs in snmpview.cfg in 3 different ways:
1. as numeric values like '1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0' (you must not notate '1.3.6.1' in front) 
2. as text like 'sysDescr'
3. as combination like 'ifDescr.1001'
look at file oids.txt for given OIDs, use this for your own entrys 

- you can now set up the number of different OID tables (default is 50)
use entry 'MaxOIDTables=50' in snmpview.cfg for this
please have in your mind: the time to start is any seconds longer with more OID-Tables

New Feature in Version 1.50: 
- with a right mouse button click you can start telnet session 
  to a device or open a connection in web browser  
- there is now a start and a stop button to break SNMPView activities (thanks to Chuk for suggest)

New Feature in Version 1.47: - when you define a column begin with the name 'MAC', you can 
show MAC Adresses as Hex Values

New Feature in Version 1.46: You can use up to 50 OID tables now.

Version 1.45 fixes a bug with display IP-addresses

In Version 1.44 is a new feature to make only one request for each entry and exit the program. 
See snmpview.cfg for more details.

Version 1.44 fixes a bug if you had whole lines in devices.txt.

Version 1.43 fixes a bug in log file if you had only one device.

Version 1.42 fixes a bug with values greater than 16384 in OID's.

Version 1.41 fixes a bug with counters greater than 2147483647, the software 
shows '---' instead of the value.

In version 1.41 are the following new functions:

- SNMPview can now write all values to a logfile
- you can define a break between two complete poll sequences
- when you define a column with the name 'uptime', you can translate timeticks to a 
  format like days, hours, minutes, seconds
